2 month stats...

Hey all! Camden had his 2 mo. check up last week, and we're just now getting around to updating everyone! He weighs a whopping 11 lb. 12 oz. ranking in the 50th percentile of kids his age. He is 24" long which puts him a little above average for height.....we're not surprised at that one, seeing as how tall his mom and dad are! Ha! Everything else is super healthy. His hemoglobin levels are looking a little better and he's released from taking those nasty iron drops. Yeah! He's a happy little guy...starting to smile at us a lot more. Cam is doing great at the babysitter's a couple days a week. He has a great time with cousin Gage....we're so glad he's there too! Check out our lastest pics! :) More updates soon...

Cam's first posting

Well my parents finally decided to let me write on the blog. I've been asking for a long time now, and I figured out that all you have to do is cry around here and then they start to listen! :) Lots of new things have been happening at my house. My mommy started back to work this week, which was the saddest day of my life. I know she has to go influence all those young minds, but I just miss her (did I mention she is the most beautiful mommy ever?) :) Luckily this week, she starts her part time thing and I will get to be with her every other day from now on! YEAH!

Next, I finally got to meet the McLaughlins! Jon and Amy are so fun, and I loved having them hold me! I just wish someone would have fixed my hair before that beautiful Amy saw me...how embarassing! Jon is teaching me to sing already...maybe he'll write a song about babies next! :)

I didn't think anything could be as fun as that...until I got to sit in my Bumbo seat for the first time! That thing is awesome! It helps you sit up, without even trying! All you have to do is hold your head...which is good practice, but gets hard after awhile. That's where that crying thing comes in handy.

I saved the funniest for last. I know this blog is about me, but I couldn't resist! My best buddy Gage pooped so big that it leaked out his diaper and got on Uncle Adams arm!!! How funny is that? I can't wait to pull that one on my own Daddy. Get ready Dad...it could come any minute! I had so much fun writing on the computer....keep checking, maybe they'll let me do it again!

Well, it's hard to believe that Camden will be 2 months old on Monday (Joel will be 26 too!...getting old!!!) The time has gone so fast....everyone tells you that and it's so true! I catch myself thinking about wanting another one, but then I quickly come back to reality and remember all those hours of labor! Ha! Maybe a few more months...or years! :) Most of the time Camden is a happy baby who loves just hanging out. Little tummy time...little time with Daddy....it's not easy being 8 weeks old. So much to do in a day! :) Just admit it...he's the cutest 2 mo. old you've ever seen. Check out that sleeper....high waters or what? Mom's in denial that Cam is getting bigger. Aren't capri's in style for boys now? :) That's it for now!

Ready for bed!

Here are a couple new pictures of Camden getting ready for bed! He is just now starting to like his bath....only if we sing all the way through it! Can you picture Joel? Ha! Mom does most of the baths. A couple of posts ago, we talked about wrapping Camden in the swaddling blanket. Now you can see proof that we actually do put our kid in a straight jacket! Look at that precious grin...he loves it! Cam is getting smart though. Being wrapped up tight definitely helps him get to sleep, but when he cries and we go to get him....the good ol blanket is in a wad in the corner of the crib. He's our little Houdini! I don't think I could get myself out of that thing the way Joel wraps it! :) We knew he was a genious! :) That's it for now...hope everyone has a great weekend! Love you all!
